I have also made donation boxes and poster and put them up at the reception area of dental practice. Never knew I can be so "arty" ha ha. They are not the best but all done by myself so I am quite proud hehe :)

That is it! Deposit paid and Jubilee Hope places confirmed
Kerry and I have been thinking about volunteer again next year. We went to Ladakh to volunteer with Himalayan Dental Project on April 2016 and found it very rewarding. However we feel that there are other part of the world who are more desperate for help. Africa.... a place that associated with poor, third world, crime, health problem and so on. Its a place that I always want to go but not brave enough to do so. Kerry volunteered with Dentaid in Uganda few years ago and she enjoyed every seconds of it. She said I could not imagine what is it like in Africa. Its so much poorer than Ladakh. My curiosity was piqued and I have decided I want to volunteer in Africa.
We started to browse the internet and do a lot of research to find a reputable organisation that has volunteer programme in Africa. I am so glad when I found out Vine Trust's Jubilee Hope has medical programme in Tanzania since 2015. I have heard about Vine Trust when I was dental student because one of my tutors is involved is Amazon Hope Medical Programme. There are quite a lot of students went to Peru for their dental elective. I was quite jealous but I could not afford it when I was student.
Kerry and I checked Vine Trust's website, their Facebook page, the videos and decided yup we want to volunteer with Vine Trust Jubilee Hope Medical Programme. We have paid our deposit and booked the places today!! We will be going to Tanzania on 11/3/2018!!! So excited!
Fundraising will be our next step. We have some rough ideas and there are few colleagues who are willing to help and we could not thank them enough. There are so many planning to do and we have only 6 months before the trip and it will come real fast.
